In the 1950's lot's of woman stayed at home to look after their children. They would clean the house, drop the kids at school and make dinner. in the 1950's they would do the 3 vegetable rule and one piece of meat. Here is a bit of writing saying if I like it or not.
I think I do like it because it's normal and easy if you just want a quick and normal dinner. But on the other hand sometimes it's nice to change it up and do a really nice dinner. If your having someone over or if you just want to feel special. But I think I like feeling special so I would have a fancy meal.

during the 1950's 400,000 people came to New Zealand. That's ginormous!!! So lots of baby's were born so they needed names. In the olden day they were always called names that were a girl name if it was a girl or a boy name if it was a boy. Here are some names:

From the 1950's to the 1960's people in New Zealand would write to each other by letter to catch up. Did you know that there was so much letter's that one person in The world would have written 87 letters!!! Here is a photo of the front cover of a post card.

I think the 3 vegetable and meat rule is great to ensure that you're getting enough protein and nutrition. I however also love variety in my meals. If you could choose one meal to cook, what would it be?
