In the olden days when theaters just came out every one wanted to see the movies. But most of the populer movies were silent movies.Did you know the first theater to come out n new Zealand was in Auckland. I would want to watch a silent movie because when I did ballet perforces they were all silent. So I am use to it but we had classical music in the back round to listen to.
Activity 2: Art Deco
In the 1920's new artists have started coming and all new beautiful art has came. Like this peacie I am going to give it a rating then say why I did that. Here is the art made by Tamara de Lempicka.
I think I would give it a five because this painting looks
Like it was a photo it is so realistic. Also because the
Bonus Activity: Crossing the Tasman
In 1920's someone called T.H. McWilliams was the radio worker. But dering the flight the radio didn't work so the person who was flying had to navigate with snow on the screen. But luckerly he made it to Christchurch with out any damage. Here is a poem if I was the person flying the plane with no sight.
The Flight
Blind flight nothing to see,
only white as a sheep,
but a flash of green gets my eye,
so I land then see I have landed in,
Aotearoa the land of the long white clound.
Hi Lilli-Rose,
ReplyDeleteRuby here from the Summer Learning Journey team!
Great work with these activities. Well done.
Activity 1: I used to do ballet so I agree with you. It would be a bit like that. You'd have to pay lots of attention to the movement and expressions of the people to know what is going on. Do you enjoy doing ballet?
Activity 2: How cool that you've given the painting 5 stars! I only gave it 4 because I think it is a strange way to do a self-portrait. How do you like the colours? I like them very much because they contrast nicely.
Bonus activity: What a great poem. Well done. Poems can be hard to think of but you have done a good job. I like how you have used the simile of white as a sheep. It gives you a good idea of what the pilot was seeing.
I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer.
Cheers,
Ruby.
