In te Maunga we have been doing Te Reo Maori we had to ask questions and ask for things in the class room. I think the thing I did well was getting it done I got it done really fast but the thing that could be better was with under standing the questions.

On the news there was a tragedy in England about the England fire. Well whaea becks was away we chose to do some research about the London fire. We think the thing we did well was not thinking about the photos and colours, but the thing that we cold improve on was having more information.

Why Self Directed Learning Is Better For Me
In Te Maunga we have been learning to write persuasive writing: we got a chose that we could write about being self detected or having chrome books. I think the thing I have done well was having lots of reasons
for my paragraphs. I think the thing I could have done better was making sure that I have one idea in each
paragraph.
paragraph.
I believe that self directed learning is better for my learning because it can make me focus by doing things that I have to do and learn better it is a, new way of learning.
Firstly I think it helps me know where I am and what I need to improve on. This means I have to try and push myself to do better in all subjects I have to set goals to get where i need to be then try and achieve them. In the past it would take forever to get our reports so we didn’t know where we were it was a waste of time to see where we were and what we needed to do until our reports.
Secondly It takes up our learning time sitting on the mat waiting when the teacher talking. So if we take control of our learning we only have to be told to do our time table for the day and that’s it. Last year it would take about thirty minutes for the teacher to explain what we had to do then we wouldn’t have time to even do it.
Thirdly this is great a great responsibility for us you must keep on doing this because it is something we can use for when we are older. This is an Important life lesson that we need to be independent.
I also I think collaboration is great doing writing, reading or maths together is way easier because you could get inspiration, you could try use there strategies that they use. Collaborating is when you work together, it’s when you do it with each other to make it better.
Lastly if we are sick you can email the teacher to ask her what we are doing or do the things you normally do in your own timetable. Instead of lacking around at home now it’s like you are in the classroom.
To conclude I believe that this is a great way of learning that is an Important life lesson of learning, not a waste of time.

Celebrations Sweden
In Te Maunga we chose one county to do some research on. Tayla and I chose to pick Sweden. We think the thing we did well was getting it done and adding more slides in, but the thing that wasn't going well was that we had distraction so it was hard to do it.

Student Lead Workshops
In Te Maunga we have been doing student lead workshops for maths this means we have been helping people that don't know something that you know that you can teach them. I think the thing we did well was when we said who could teach the workshop. I think the thing that we could improve was when it was a bit messy and we put our names in the wrong place.

Break Out
In Te Maunga we have been doing a collaboration activity by playing a game called Break Out. In the game we had to unlock locks on a box using problems, we got to have 2 clues. I think the thing we all did well was working together to get it all done in time. I think the thing that didn't wok was when whea beacks did the lock incorrectly so it took a long time to open.
