In the 1930's when 30 percent had no jobs. It was very stressful to get food on the table or even have a roof over there heads. Stress is hard to get over but here are the things I do when I have stress. I read my favroute book, Pippi Longstockings because when I was little my dad would always read it to me and it's really funny. Also I go for a run with my mum because I love running.
Activity 2: Offering a Helping Hand
For a decade there was a drout so crop would not grow so that meant that fammers wouldn't be able to put food on the table. if I was in the drout I would sell our things we don't need also I would make clothes not buy them.
Bonus Activity: Paying it Forward
In the 1930's it all changed people where using there money wisely and got more money then they use to. If I could time travel I would bring them these four gifts. Chocolate, Pineapple lumps and chocolate fish lastly jaffas.

I hope you had a good Christmas with your whanau!
That’s a great idea! I’m the same as you. I find comfort in rereading my favourite childhood books, my favourite books are anything written by Roald Dahl. have you got any other books that you really enjoy reading?
I bet it was hard, living through a drought that lasted almost 10 years! These days, farmers have come up with ways to reduce the effects of a drought on their farm, including using irrigation systems that waters their crops. So even if it doesn’t rain, their crops still get water! You have come up with a few good ways to help save money during a drought, I think people during the drought would have had similar ideas as you.
Yum! I bet people would have loved all the treats that you bought for them especially pineapple lumps and jaffas! I remember my grandad telling me when he was a child he would get jaffas when he went to the movies because he could roll them down the wooden stairs and they made lots of noise during the movie! Pineapple lumps weren’t made until the 1950s, so that would be an extra special treat for people after the Great Depression!
Keep the blogs coming!
