In the 1800 basically all the family were ginormous they had probably 7 to 9 people in their family. If I had 9 people in my family and lived in the 1800 I would like it because I had lots of brothers and sisters to play with and also there would be less cores because there is more people to do it so less cores for me.

Activity 2: Acknowledging Ancestry
When Someone asks me about who I am I say my pepeha. A pepeha is something that describes you it says what waka you came from what tribe what your name is your river your maunga and your parents names. My Dad originally came from Rotorua but my mum came from England so I use my dad's pepeha. In school we have to say our pepha and using it I found out I have a cousin because our pepeha were exactly the same. If you want to listen to my pepeha here is a link. Here is my pepeha:
Ko Ngnongotaha Te Maunga
Ko Kaituna Te Awa
Ko Rotorua Te Roto
Ko Te Arawa Te Waka
Ko Te Arawa Te Iwi
Ko Ngati Whakaue Te Hapu
Ko Taharangi Te Marae
Ko Paihia Te Kura
Ko Nikki Toku Mama
Ko Jake Toku Papa
Ko Pippiana Hehita
Ko Lilli-Rose Toku Ingoa

In The summer Pippiana likes to go for a swim at the beach and go to her friends house.Phoebe (the cat): Phoebe likes waking up Lilli-Rose at 6 in the morning and when she was a kitten she would play fetch also she loves wrapping paper. In the summer Phoebe likes climbing the Christmas tree and catching birds.Jake: Jake likes to sail, he has sailed to Fiji 3 times before. In the summer Jake paints our flat and on Christmas goes to the beach. Also my Oma's uncles brother was the fastests person in there country.

Kia Ora Lilli,
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with your effort in all three of the activities today! You have put a lot of time and thought into each post and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all about you and your Whanau.
Thank you for sharing your pepeha with me, it's such a great way of sharing more about who you are, where you come from and your Whanau. I listened to you say your pepeha and you spoke so clearly and your pronunciation was incredible. Ka pai!
That is very funny to read that Phoebe likes to wake you up at 6am, that sounds like my dog Tess! She thinks 6am is time to play, but I don't ever feel the same. Has Phoebe ever caused the Christmas tree to fall over? You sound like you have a very energetic cat!
Am I correct in thinking Jake is your dad? That is amazing that he has sailed to Fiji three times. Does he do the trip alone or with other people? Have you had a chance to go overseas?
Amazing work today Lilli-Rose! I love that you included a picture of Phoebe, she is very cute! Keep up the great work.
Nga mihi
Georgia
