Week 2 Day 5: Coming to an End

Activity 1: VE Day!
After a long time through out the year WW2 had finish europeans had one and now we celebrate the VE day. Lots of people in New Zealand celebrate VE day. If I through a VE day party I would:

Get lots of nice food, ask every one to bring a platter, invite my closest friends. Celebrate on the beach, go for a swim and go and play with friends.

Activity 2: Making a Fashion Statement
When WW2 had finished people went to there normal selfs again wereing the same clothes but if they went some where speachal they would wee a dress or a suit. Now 65 years on we were completely diffrent things.

I think I like our look because we have all new clothes but I love the stile they had in the olden days so I like them both.

Bonus Activity: Sweet Tooth
Image result for chocolate chip cookies with glass of milkAfter WW2 ended lot of people moved to a safe contry to have a family and to live in peace. When people came they would bring recipes with them live pasta, ice cream and chocolate. My favroute sweet treat is a freshly cooked chocolate chip biscate with a glass of milk. If you want to try this use this recipe:

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. ...
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
  4. Then get a glass and pour a glass of milk to drink with
  5.  And there you go an awesome recipe for my favroute sweet treat.

  1. Kia Ora and Happy New Year to you, Lilli-Rose!

I hope that you have had a great start to 2018. It has been a busy time for our family but a good one. I hope that the same can be said for you!

I see from your awesome post that you would celebrate VE Day with a trip to the beach and some nice food. That sounds really lovely! I also love going to the beach for a swim. My son, Aronui, would stay in the water all day every day if he could. When I take him to the beach he usually jumps right into the water and stays there until the minute that we have to leave. On Christmas Day he stayed in the water for hours!

The only thing that encouraged him to get out was food. We actually had chocolate chip cookies for snack on Christmas Day because they are one of our all-time favourite treats. I particularly love cookies that have just come out of the oven. Yum! They are amazing :)

I will have to give your recipe a try the next time we make homemade chocolate chip cookies. Do you often bake at your house?

Looking forward to reading more of your great posts soon! Georgia is back tomorrow and I know that she is also really looking forward to reading your work and commenting.

All the best for a wonderful 2018!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
