Special Meals

In the 1800 mostly all of the moari had the same normal diet. The didn't have a shop to get groceries they had to forage to find food they had to plant, catch and forage. They would normally have kumara, fish, meat and ells. But now we have a good life we don't have to hunt or forage for foods we got to the super market or plant in there gardens.

My favorite food is spaghetti bolognese it tastes amazing and because I love pasta it's even better. But my sister doesn't like spaghetti bolognese so we rarely have it. If you want to know how to cook it use think link or use this recipe:
  1. 2 medium onions, peeled and chopped.
  2. 1tbsp olive oil.
  3. 1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed.
  4. 500g lean minced beef.
  5. 90g mushrooms, sliced.
  6. 1tsp dried oregano or mixed herbs.
  7. 400g can tomatoes or chopped tomatoes.
  8. 300ml hot beef stock

  1. Kia Ora Lilli-Rose,

I am so impressed with the detail you have put into this blogpost. I can tell that you read the entire question and really thought about your response. Ka pai!

Oh I love Spaghetti Bolognese too! That's very unfortunate that your sister doesn't like it. How old is she?

Thank you for the recipe, I might have to cook it sometime soon for my Whanau.
