First Aid

In Te Maunga we have been learning how to do First Aid.  Whaea Rima taught us how to save lives, she is from the Red cross! The Red cross is a place where they look after people that are hurt and are need water and food. We learnt a lot about looking after people that are hurt we learnt Doctors A,B,C,D’s. Doctors A,B,C,D’s means D- danger, your safety first, R- response, tap and shout, S- send for help adults 111. A, airway head tilt and chin lift, B- breathing, look listen feel C- circulation, check and stop if bleeding D- defibrillator, find out if an AED is nearby geton adult to put it on unconscious patrent chest strate away. Now that I know how to do this I think I will be able to save a lot of lives thanks to whaea Rima.
